Elena Marinina's Biography

IMG_2098

My name is Elena Marinina. During my late teens and mid 20s, I attended the Odessa State Conservatory where I studied the classical piano, voice (lyrical-dramatic soprano), and chorus conducting. In May of 2000, I graduated from the conservatory with an MA degree and joined my husband in Boston, Massachusetts.

In May of 2001, I became a mother of wonderful twins, Alexandr and Anastasia. Balancing our careers and kids, my family eventually settled in Durham, North Carolina, where I founded my In-Home Music Instructions company-  Do-Re-Mi-Instructors. I am a mother myself, so I understand the viewpoint of children and know how to teach and encourage all levels of learning. Giving children a special skill and a sense of accomplishment is a pleasure. I delight in watching a child light up when they perform, and I am so proud of them when they achieve. I am very excited to be a member of the Excelsior Classical Academy where i can pass on my knowledge to the young generations. Aria "O mio babbino caro"
